Set Sail into Spring: Your Guide to the 2026 Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show

Get ready for the 2026 Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show! Discover dates, must-see boats, and essential tips for navigating this premier sailing event at City Dock.

Spring has arrived in Annapolis, and that means one thing for maritime enthusiasts: the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show is returning to City Dock from April 24 to 26, 2026. Known as the “Sailing Capital of the World,” Annapolis transforms into a vibrant hub of nautical activity, welcoming everyone from seasoned sailors to those just looking to dip their toes in the water. Whether you are in the market for a new vessel or simply looking for a fun weekend by the bay, navigating a show of this magnitude can be overwhelming. This guide breaks down exactly what to expect and how to make the most of your visit.

Explore the Docks: What to See and Do

The main attraction, of course, is the impressive lineup of sailboats. This year’s show will feature a wide array of vessels, including catamarans, monohulls, racing boats, and family cruisers, available for you to climb aboard and explore. It is a unique opportunity to compare new and brokerage boats side-by-side in their natural element.

Beyond the boats, you will find over 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest in marine technology, gear, and accessories. If you are new to boating, look for the First Sail Workshop, a hands-on introductory class that includes both classroom instruction and time on the water. For those looking to relax, the “No Wake Zone” offers a perfect spot to unwind with tastings of local spirits and wines while enjoying live entertainment.

Tips for a Smooth Experience

To ensure you have the best time possible, keep these practical tips in mind:

  • Dates & Times: The show runs Friday and Saturday (April 24 to 25) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday (April 26) from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Dress Code: Wear comfortable shoes that are easy to slip on and off. You will need to remove them frequently when boarding the boats. Boat shoes or slip-ons are your best friends here.
  • Parking: Downtown parking is limited. Your best bet is to park at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and take the free shuttle bus that drops you right near the show entrance.
  • Rules: Leave the pups at home (only service animals are allowed) and note that strollers are not permitted inside the show grounds for safety reasons.

Make a Weekend of It

While the boats are the star of the show, don’t forget to explore the charm of historic Annapolis. The show’s location at City Dock puts you steps away from some of the region’s best dining and shopping. After touring the decks, take a short walk up Main Street for a seafood dinner or grab a drink at a waterfront bar to watch the sunset over “Ego Alley”.
